Tuytel and Gebr. Maagdenberg have been commissioned to construct and remove various construction roads and work areas for the upgrade of the 380kV connection between Krimpen a/d IJssel and Geertruidenberg.
The work sites are equipped with temporary carriageways consisting of road plates and carriageway bark or sand. Often, a special type of fabric is also laid underneath, so that the carriageways can be easily removed again once the work has been completed.
To enable access to the electricity pylons, Tuytel is constructing various (temporary) construction roads, work areas and winch locations. Most of the high-voltage pylons are located in the Krimpenwaard and Alblasserwaard regions. Here, the roadways are being laid with roadway bark. In the municipality of Altena, roads to the high-voltage pylons are being laid with sand. Temporary bridges are being built using pontoons and bulkheads to cross water. Once the work on the electricity pylons has been completed, the temporary facilities will be removed, ditches will be repaired and, where necessary, grass will be sown.
